The Shadow of the Colossus remake left players with a familiar game that played, performed, and looked better than the PS2 original and PS3 remaster. The lone new addition was a new control scheme that modernized the game’s character actions. Indeed, all original sixteen Colossi are here with no new additions, nor was there any new story content. That meant preserving the original’s content, enemies, and strategies. For the remake, the goal was to create the definitive version of the original game.
